Looking Back.

It’s sometimes difficult to look back to see where we have been and what we have done.

Whilst we should strive to be present and “live in the moment”, we shouldn’t do this in exclusivity. I don’t think we should do this and forget to look back and remember, or get excited about what’s yet to come.

Where we get stuck is when we dwell on the past or worry about the future

It’s when uncertainty or fear or regret start to sneak in…

There is certainly value in the past and the future. Learning from mistakes, striving toward ambitions, remembering fond memories or visualising your success. These are crucial to your development.

To forget lessons learnt or mistakes made would be a shame.

And we can’t move forward without planning our next steps.

The trick is to know when to be present and when to let your mind wander.
