This morning I attended a dawn service to commemorate ANZAC Day.
This is a special day on our calendar.
I, along with hundred of others, came together in the dark and cold at our local park. Around Australia, New Zealand and the world, thousands gathered. To remember.
It’s a day to remember all those who came before us. Those who gave up their lives to defend the freedom of those they loved.
It’s easy to take for granted all that we have. Security, comfort, freedom, expression, connection.
On days like this, we are reminded of how fortunate we are to live in a community of individuals who are willing to contribute toward the greater good. Their contribution allows us to pursue our passions and. The fact that we are free to walk down the street to pick up a coffee and meet with friends is pretty special.
Take some time today to think of that which you are grateful for.
Take a moment to express that gratitude and appreciation.
Contribute in your own unique, special way to the world we live in.
Lest we forget.
