Expansion and contraction. Work and rest. Active and passive. Summer and winter (Game of Thrones reference).
All part of the same cycle. The same loop.
When we work hard at something, whether it is a project, as assignment, training cycle or uni semester…
…we come out of that work a little bit lower on energy than when we went in.
Which makes total sense.
What doesn’t make sense is when we charge straight on to the next thing, without giving ourself the space or time to recover.
We need this space to recultivate energy.
This energy will get us back in the game and firing on full.
We cannot fully lean into the next thing without this.
It’s better to take a step back, recharge, take stock of what is unfolding around you, then dive back in.
