Leaders take initiative.
They don’t wait to be told. They see an opportunity and they act.
“Initiative” at the simplest level is “initiating”. It’s starting. It’s an act of getting the ball rolling and setting the stage.
If there is a gap that can be filled in the market, or space for positive change, a leader will do something.
It may be the unpopular opinion. It may be against the status quo. But all new initiatives start from point 0. They grow from nothing but a seed of curiosity.
The leader then has the commitment to foster it’s growth.
