For thousands of years, we as humans have told stories. They were instrumental in how our society, language and tribes evolved.
Even now, as we come together in our families, workplaces and social circles, we tell stories. About what we did that weekend, how we met our partners, what projects we are currently working on and the amazing holiday we just returned from.
This is a powerful medium. It is an effective way to communicate information to one another.
It’s also a way for us create and foster connection.
Yet, it is underutilised, especially in business. If we want to connect with the people we wish to serve, we need to tell stories that will resonate. Stories that elicit emotion that will then encourage action. Stories that will create the change we want to see in our culture.
