Paradox of Feedback.

The paradox of feedback is this:

The best feedback is that which isn’t already in our awareness. We get given information that contradicts what we believe to be true. This can be called “negative feedback” or disconfirming information.

This type of feedback is what we need to adapt. To expand our developmental “container” and grow.

It is also the hardest type of feedback to receive. It’s not easy to be told this sort of information. But once we can get past this resistance, it gives us an opportunity to be so much better.
