In crisis there is opportunity.
Opportunity for us to connect, innovate, grow, problem solve and support one another.
“Never let a good crisis go to waste.” – Winston Churchill
Of course, we should be proceeding with caution. There are many unknowns and a lot of uncertainty ahead of us. Yet, this is not a time to simply stop. If we shut down, I doubt there will be enough forward momentum to carry us through. This is not business as usual.
Therefore, we need to look for the opportunities that may be present.
It doesn’t matter whether you are a leader, an employee, a student or a stay at home parent, we can develop ways to do and be better.
The constraints that are in place will force us to re-consider how we do business, interact with others and spend our resources. All of a sudden, we need to look at things differently.
How can we maintain, or even improve the experience, of our customers and people we engage with? How can we do things in a different way?
The upside to all this is that the things we create or build during could potentially transcend this turbulent time. It can last a long time and continue to add value as we adjust to the new normal we will be faced with.
This is a time to be generous and creative. I’m excited to see how we will come out the other end this.
“The only way to predict the future is to create it.” – Alan Kay
