Our physiology influences our psychology.
When we look after our body by giving it nutrient dense food, adequate sleep, plenty of water and some physical activity, there’s a flow on effect to our psychology.
I’m not talking about the increased blood flow to our brain with exercise or the recovery process during sleep (although this is true and important). I’m talking about how we feel when we nourish ourselves.
Our mood is better, we are more productive, we can focus more easily, we have more energy and we feel happier.
It’s no coincidence that this happens when we do good things for our body. The way we feel mentally is intrinsically linked to how we feel physically.
If you make your physiological well-being a priority, there will be positive effects on your psychology. Give yourself some physical self-care to perform and be at your best.
